RA Mitchell

RA Mitchell did not set out to be a writer. She wanted to be a professional reader but, sadly, those didn't exist in the 90s, so she instead got her first job at an ice cream shop. Sadly, this job didn't last long as she was always cold in the store, but it did instil in her a lifelong love of ice cream.

 

After this brief stint, she worked in a bakery, her local library, and an art gallery while she studied for a Bachelor of Arts in Art History. Once she graduated, she moved into the education field. She worked in primary schools and earned a Master of Arts - Teaching before becoming an administrator within the university sector.

 

RA Mitchell’s journey has taken many unexpected turns, including moving from the US to Australia where she lives with her husband and son, both of whom keep her on her toes. 

 

When she’s not working, she is dragging her son on long walks, taking road trips, doing word searches, reading, trying (and failing) to practice Spanish on Duolingo, teaching herself new recipes, watching British murder mysteries, and writing.
